Paul King

Paul is a woodworker who has turned that love of the craft into these custom pieces. Almost all of them start with wood, then different painting techniques, until the piece feels alive.

Birdhouses are his latest fascination: taverns, cottages, and houses that don’t exist anywhere else. He also cuts creatures from wood — lizards, snakes, fish — and paints them the same way.

Most pieces are one of a kind. When one sells, it isn’t copied, and it stays in the catalogue. A commission can be a house, a creature, or something he hasn’t made before.

Five hand-painted birdhouses lined up on a stone garden wall: a blue house, a purple house, a red cottage, a tall yellow house, and a dark green tavern.

Commissions

If you can describe it, Paul can build it.

A tavern for the garden, a picture for one particular wall, a cottage that doesn’t exist yet. He makes one-of-a-kind birdhouses and wall pieces, and he can take on just about anything you ask for.
